I think this was overall the second favorite card from the card class. I guess it kinda depends on whether people liked to color or not. I like to color and I like snowmen. This is a cute set from the regular catalog that is kinda lost in there. I think it's adorable. This card was inspired by a card I got in a card swap from my friend Sheri I just changed the set. Hope you like it.

First Holiday Card from my Card Class
As I mentioned I did my Holiday Card Class this last week and here is my first card from the class. I did a poll from all of the customers at my classes and this was the overwhelming winner so I thought I'd post it first. It is really a sharp and classy and relatively easy card. One that could be easily replicated for however many you need to do. It's from one of those winner sets from the holiday mini catalog-- Season of Joy -- and the Holiday Harmony designer paper nicely accompanies it. Love, love, love it! I will really miss the mini when it's gone. There are a couple of sets in there that I'm very much enjoying. You will see just how much over the next couple of days. Hope you enjoy this card.

Chipboard Ornamants
So, my Holiday Card Classes are over... and I think based on what my customers had to say that they were a success. I even took out the snowman decorations... I live in an apartment complex and I think my neighbors probably thought I was a little nuts for having snowmen outside already!!! Ah well... gotta get everyone in the spirit-- right?
I'll be posting the four cards we did over the next couple of days. We had a bonus project as well and this is it. Once they finished their 12 cards, they could do a chipboard ornament... from the On Board Trimmings chipboard set from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Here are a couple of samples that I had made up for them to go by.
They really enjoyed this. Some used some new products that they hadn't seen before-- the Trimmings chipboard, Iridescent Ice embossing powder or the Crop-a-Dile.

Ink: Bashful Blue Craft and Classic, White Craft
Cardstock: Whisper White

Had to Try It--- New Acrylic Card
So this card was for a good friend who is having a baby very soon. It went with her shower gift. It was the perfect opportunity to try an acrylic card.
I used a transparency... you know from those transparency machines we used to have in classrooms... before computers and PowerPoint. I used to be a teacher in a former career and still have a zillion of them. I stamped the polka dot background in white Stazon on the acrylic "card" and there is cardstock on the inside right under the cardstock on the outside where you can write a message.
I think the mom-to-be enjoyed it. She is a stamper too. Isn't that Sweet Pea, just adorable!
Sets: Event Full Hostess Set and Polka Dot Background
Ink: White Stazon, Basic Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Pink Gingham Ribbon, Blender Pen, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery Makers, 1/16" Punch, Transparency Sheet

RAKS From my Friends
These are a couple of very fun cards from a couple of very fun gals. Both ladies are in my stamp club and have become very good friends. I have to say that I have THE BEST stamp clubs. I am such a lucky demonstrator.
This first card is the famous criss-cross card... Nicole made this card after I taught it at club and was experimenting with colors and came up with this fabulous combination. I love when folks actually use what I teach. Amazing. That happens more as a demonstrator than when I was teaching high school... imagine that!!!
The second card is just plain cute! The inside says "my favorite things!" And that pretty much describes Debbie... along with the pink on the card. I'm not sure who's shoe stamp this (so I can't give credit), but it sure is cute-- as is the card!
Thanks to you both for making it fun to go to the mailbox!!

Holiday Card Idea
My customers are always wanting to do holiday cards, but they are always torn because they want to send pictures of their gorgeous kids too. So, I came up with this idea for them to do both. This is a 12x12 piece of Whisper White cut at 4 inches and scored at 9 inches. This card has room for the kids picture, a little stamping and a place to write a little greeting... and it fits in a business size envelope. Whadaya think? My club ladies LOVED it. By the way, these are my two lovely nieces Madison (11) and Samantha (1)... they are fabulous aren't they. I'm a very proud aunt!

In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Blog surfing again and loving what everyone is up to in terms of celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month so I broke out an old favorite of mine-- the Hope set-- to make a card for this occasion.
Never has this hit so close as this month. My mom had a cancer scare this month. It ended up just being a scare and all is well, but boy it was too close for comfort. My friends were so wonderful. I'm amazed by the power of prayer. And, I've had a friend or two deal with cancer this year and they've been so amazing and strong. I'm in awe of their strength.
My best friend is celebrating 10+ years cancer free. I met her after her battle with cancer. I cannot even begin to imagine my life without her, her family and kids in it. She is one of the most generous, loyal and giving people I've ever known. We take part every year (and helped organize for many years) the Relay For Life in our community. It's a great time to give back and we've met some really phenomenal people through that event.
I have another friend who is taking part in a 60K Susan G. Komen Race in Houston later this month to raise money for breast cancer research. She is doing 60 miles in her wheelchair. I'm in awe of her stamina and desire to make a difference.
People are truly amazing!

It's 90 degrees in NC, but never too early for a Snowman
Are you ready for a reallllly cute snoman?
I have to give total credit for the idea to one of my club members Toni. I showed a halloween lantern that was demonstrated at convention at my last club meeting and she said "I bet a snowman would be cute!" Well, the wheels were turning and the next night, viola. Here he is. Isn't he adorable.
I used the Wintergreen Designer Paper. The eyes, mouth and buttons are just punches. The arms are just cut out of chocolate chip card stock and the nose out of only orange. The largest circle is sixteen 11"x1" strips. The middle circle is twelve 8"x1" strips. The head circle is ten 6"x1"strips. I didn't like him bald, so I got the hat at Michaels in the doll clothes section it fits his head perfectly.
Hope you enjoy!

Batty for You Basket
Blog surfing again and lookie what I found... Cambri Turbow is sooo inventive and comes up with the neatest creations. Check out this cute little basket. It is full of peppermint patties that are covered front and back with scallop punches and Batty for You. And yet another great reason to use Googlie Eyes... The basket is really easy to make, but it's probably easiest to go to Cambria's website for the pattern. Great gift ideas for the office or teachers.
