Trendy Trees

This is card number 3 from the class last week. This is suppose to be a male birthday card... but it could be for anyone really. For this card I used the sets Trendy Trees and Congrats from the SAB selection.

Trendy trees is a really sweet set, but you probably need a stamp-a-ma-jig to do it justice. I'm pretty good at lining things up just by eye balling it. In face I've never used a stamp-a-ma-jig... but others have a harder time and there are some serious perfectionist stampers.

The card base is Whisper White, with a layer of Chocolate Chip and then a layer of designer paper. The Kraft at the bottom is from the Taste of Textiles DSP set. The Kiwi at the top is from the Urban Oasis DSP set. And then there's a small strip of Kiwi Kiss cardstock in the middle.

For the focal point, I stamped the three trees on Whisper White cardstock in Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and More Mustard with a Chocolate Chip tree trunk. This is layered on Chocolate Chip cardstock and mounted over the wide chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon with dimmensionals. I added the cute little chocolate binder clip for texture. The greeting was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. I'd love to know what you think?

Beautiful! Love this stamp set too - just wish the trees were a little bigger. Love the color combo and the chocolate clip.
