Prayer Tree

So here we are up to the 5th card from the class last week. This is by far my favorite new stamp. I'm kinda a tree person. I'm really excited about a good sympathy set.

This is a very simple card really. The card is Baha Breeze with a layer of Chocolate Chip... I like Chocolate Chip-- if you hadn't noticed. Then there is a strip of the beautiful Parisian Breeze DSP layered on a strip of Baha Breeze on the left of the card.

For the focal point, I ran Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the Top Note Die and stamped the tree and greeting in Chocolate Chip on the Top Note. Is sponged a little bit of Chocolate Chip ink around the edges so that the White cardstock wasn't so stark. Then, I used a blender pen and Baha Breeze ink to add some color to the leaves of the tree. I don't find this stamp easy to color with markers-- because of all the branches mixed in with the leaves. So I thought the easiest way to add color to the leaves was with this process.

Last but not least-- we need texture of course. So I made a small slit on the left of the top note and threaded the Baha Breeze grosgrain ribbon through. Tied it off with a small piece of Linen Thread and then wrapped one of the new Chocolate Chip Brads around it.

I'll be back with the final class card tomorrow.

By the way, if you like this tree, you can get it in vinyl for your wall. We sell this tree as a Decor Element vinyl piece in multiple sizes. I just bought a house and I plan on putting it on the wall as you go up the steps.
