I Do

A co-worker asked me to make her a card for a special wedding this weekend and this is what I came up with. I asked what the colors were and I gave her the catalog so she could at least point out the closest ones... she chose celery, bashful blue and cocoa. She also wanted a card larger than the typical postcard size. So, this is what I came up with.

First I freaked because I didn't think I had any larger size envelopes and then I found some, so that dictated the size of the card. It ended up being almost a 1/2 size card. The card itself is Whisper White, with a layer of Bashful Blue, then a layer of Certainly Celery, then another layer of Whisper White. On the top layer I stamped the swirl from the Winter Mini set A Season of Joy in Versamark and embossed in white. The focal point is the heart from the Always set. I stamped the heart in craft Bashful Blue and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped it again in Close to Cocoa and layered the two. I added a Certainly Celery rhinestone brad for a little bling. Then I added some white tulle in a bow for a little wedding flair. The heart is tied on with silver elastic cord. On the inside, "Best Wishes" from the Short and Sweet set is stamped in Close to Cocoa.

I woke up unable to fall back asleep with this idea at 5:15 in the morning yesterday. So I just got up and stamped. I was very happy with the way this turned out and so was my co-worker. Funny story though. I was talking to the guy who lives in the apartment below me yesterday-- I had never talked to him before, but he got a new puppy.... lots to talk about now. He said, did you hear that pounding noise early this morning? I said no, didn't hear a thing... thinking to myself... that was me buddy... I was stamping!

Poor guy. He doesn't know who he's living under:) Beautiful card, as usual!
