Here is a really cute new set from the Summer Mini catalog. In fact, it is my favorite set in the mini-- Sweet Scoops. Not only do I love me some ice cream, but I love what it stand for for me. When we were really young, growing up in the middle of nowhere, we used to ride our bikes to this fabulous ice cream shop- New Baltimore- where they made homemade ice cream. I can almost take my favorite-- Banana. Then once I was older, in college, I used to walk my dog down to another ice cream shop, Bobs, where we would share a cone. Small town joys. Those type of memories make me very fond of this set.
This is a card that I did for my clubs this month. Very simple, but fun. I used Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise, all found in the Tropical Oasis DSP used on the top of the card. This gave me the inspiration for the ice cream colors. Add a little scalloping on the DSP and the focal point as well as a little bling bling and you've got a yummy card.
