Florals in Baha

Here I have another Fifth Avenue Floral sample. This is one of the cards from the card class last week. The color scheme came from the Parisian Breeze DSP. So the card itself is Baha Breeze, with a layer of Chocolate Chip behind.

For the main image I stamped the flowers from the set randomly on a piece of Kraft cardstock in Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand and Baha Breeze and added a cute brown flower button from the Latte button set with some linen thread in the middle of one of the flowers. Then I cut the image into three equal part and mounted it on Chocolate Chip cardstock. The next layer is the polka dot paper from the DSP layered on Chocolate Chip cardstock. All of this is adhered together and I added some Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon.

The "warm wishes" greeting, from the Hugs and Wishes set, was added to finish it off.

Set: Hugs and Wishes, Fifth Avenue Florals
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Baha Breeze and Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Baha Breeze, Kraft, Whisper White and Parisian Breeze DSP
Accessories: Latte button, Linen Thread, Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon

Stationary Box

I did a class the other night for my great stampin' friends. We made this cute stationary box and 6 assorted cards to go inside. All of the sets we used were NEW product. Fun. I'll be showing you the six cards over the next week or so.

This cute little box is very easy. We used the Parisian Breeze DSP which has a heavy weight to it so is strong enough to handle this type of project. It's a very simple cut, score and fold project for both the bottom and top (which is made out of an window sheer/overhead.)

Here are the directions for the box so you can try it yourself.

Fifth Avenue Floral

Another new set that I just love... Fifth Avenue Florals. And it's even better when it's paired with the Urban Oasis Designer Paper.

This card has a lot of layering on it... but the main colors are Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point. I just stamped the flowers on the main piece of white and started to layer. I added some paper piercing, a few brads and little black narrow grosgrain ribbon for some texture.

Hope you like it.

Set: Fifth Avenue Florals
Ink: Basic Grey, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point
Cardstock: Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Brads, Urban Oasis CSP, Paper Piercer, Black narrow grosgrain ribbon, Dimmensionals

Accordian Flower

This is card that I cased from SCS. I'm sorry I'm not sure who did it orignally. It has the accordion flower from the SAB mini... which is so cute and easy to make. For this card, It really is a tree though.

The card itself is Kiwi Kiwi with a layer of Chocolate Chip that I ran through the Big Shot with the little dot texture plate (love this!) The designer paper is from the Good Morning Sunshine set.

The trunk of the tree is from the Trendy Trees set. Then I made the accordion tree out of Kiwi Kiss cardstock. I wouldn't recommend this. I would use designer paper. It holds together better. This one kept coming apart and I had to redo it with designer paper. The weight of the cardstock makes it like a spring that just wants to spring open!

Anyway, the button in the middle is from the Latte button set and the greeting is from the Trendy Trees set also. The only other detail (which you can't see very well) is that the Kiwi Kiss strip along the bottom of the tree, is snipped along the way-- to make it look like grass.

Let me know what you think!

Set: Trendy Trees
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun and Whisper White
Accessories: Good Morning Sunshine DSP, Gold Brads, Texture Plate-- Backgrounds I, Latte Button

SAB-- Botanical Blooms

This is one of the Sale-a-bration sets you can get for FREE through the end of March. This set is called Botanical Blooms... and if you know me, you know I like flower sets. I'm always saying... no more flower sets, but SU just keeps making great ones. I just can't resist. Well, what's to resist, when it's FREE! You can see all of the SAB items available by clicking on the Sale-a-bration brochure on the right hand side of the blog.

This card is my absolute favorite SU cold Almost Amethyst. I stamped the Polka Dot background in Whisper White craft ink on the top front of the card. The bottom half of the card is covered with Designer Paper from the ___ set-- I'll get back to you on that!

The flowers are stamped in Black Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored in with a blender pen and ink pads. I put a tiny little white bead in the middle of each flower with Crystal Effects. The tag is made with the two scallop punches. The ribbon is the thin Mossy Grosgrain Ribbon. This would be a nice get well, or sympathy card as well.

Set: Botanical Blooms, Polka Dot Background
Ink: Stazon Black, Whisper White Craft, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst to watercolor
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Mellow Moss, Shimmery White
Accessories: Small and Medium Oval punches, Moss Grosgrain Ribbon, Blender Pen, White Beads, Crystal Effects, 1/8" circle punch

Trendy Trees

This is a simple little card I made with my stamp club last month. The set is Trendy Trees, a cute little set in the new catalog. I'm really diggin' all the trees! Anyways, I cut out the oval and scallop with the oval scallop die and the BigShot. Then I punched 1/16" holes along the scallop and a couple of Apricot brads.

The card itself is chocolate chip and the bottom has a layer of the Delicate Dots DSP that is a Sale-a-bration item and now available for FREE with any $50 order. Very simple, but cute little card.

Set: Trendy Trees
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, More Mustard, Riding Hood Red
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Oval Scallop Die, BigShot, 1/16" punch, subtle brads

Last of the pizazz

Ok, I promise, this is the last of the Petal Pizazz cards... and the last of the Regal Rose cards for a while. On to new fun things.

I did this card at club last month to highlight some new products. It uses the NEW Petal Pizazz set and the Raspberry DSP. Love the two together (as I'm sure you can tell by now.)

This card is a 5 1/4 inch square. The card itself is Kiwi Kiss, with at tiny layer of Basic Black, then a layer of Regal Rose with a various layers of the DSP. The black layer really makes it pop, huh? I like layers a lot! For the focal point, I stamped three PP flowers in Regal Rose and punched them out with the Scallop Circle punch and stamped 6 leaves in Kiwi Kiss and cut them out. They are all layed on top of the Regal Rose Grosgrain ribbon and the flowers have a black brad in each. The greeting is from the Chit Chat rub on set.

I have to admit, I do LOVE this card.

Set: Petal Pizazz
Ink: Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black, Regal Rose
Accessories: Black Brads, Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon, Chit Chat Rub Ons, Raspberry DSP

More Pizazz

Can you tell I really like this Petal Pizazz set? This is a cute 3x6" card in Kiwi Kiss. The set is great because you can either trim the flower parts out, like I did here, you can punch some, or just stamp them directly and be done with it. For this flower, I stamped the largest (bottom) image in Regal Rose, and the smaller (upper) layer in Rose Red. The stem and leaves are stamped in Kiwi Kiss. The "grassy" bottom is a small sliver of the Raspberry Tart paper with some of the wide grosgrain in Regal Rose. The flower center is one of the silver flower brads.

Very simple card... and too cute!

Set: Petal Pizazz
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, Rose Red
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Flower Brads, Raspberry Tart DSP, Regal Rose Grosgrain Ribbon

Ninth Avenue Florals

LOVE this set! Stampin' up! has really hit an all time high with this new catalog! There are some gorgeous things in it, and this set is one of them. There are all types of accessories to go with it also.

The set on this card is Fifth Avenue Florals simply stamped on Whisper White cardstock in Baha Blue, Chocolate chip and Sahara Sand. It is layered on a sheet of Chocolate Chip cardstock that is textured with the diamond Texturz plate from the Backgrounds I kit. There is a close up of this down below. These plates are used with the BigShot to create dry embossed backgrounds. The Background paper is from the Parisian Breeze DSP set and the giant eyelet is from the Soho designer metal set.

Isn't this sharp?

Set: Fifth Avenue Florals, All Holidays
Ink: Baha Blue, Chocolate Chip, Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Baha Blue, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
