Petal Pizazz with BLING

I'm really enjoying this Petal Pizazz set. It's really very cute and simple to use. On this card, I used this set, with a chipboard flower on top. The largest flower from PP (below the chipboard flower) is stamped in Lavender Lace as well as the smaller flower in the middle of the chipboard flower. The leaves are stamped in Certainly Celery (and cute out.) The greeting is from the Many Happy Returns set, stamped in black.

The chipboard flower is from the Batch of Blooms set. It is covered with Versamark and then Heat and Stick powder is sprinkled over top. This is heated with the heat gun, until it becomes sticky and the lavender cosmo fine glitter is sprinkled on top. It sticks to the Heat and Stick. Yeah! Then I added smaller stamped flower int he middle of the flower. It's hard to see, but on top of the middle flower is a clear button with a lavender rhinestone brad in the middle... to fill in the middle of the card.

I've been making a bunch of 4 1/4 square cards lately and this is one of them. The card itself is Lavender Lace, layered on Certainly Celery.

Sets: Petal Pizazz, Many Happy Returns
Ink: Versamark, Lavender Lace, Basic Black
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace, Whisper White
Accessories: Batch of Blooms Chipboard, Clear Buttons, Ice Rhinestone Brads, Heat and Stick powder, Fine Cosmo Glitter

Jasmine Update

A little break from stamping to give you an update on my doggie-do-- Jasmine. I've had Jasmine now since halloween. She is the funnest, funniest, my enjoyable dog. Don't get me wrong, I miss my Sallie. She was such a sweet, needy, loving dog... but this Jasmine is just a mess. I laugh non-stop at this dog. Here are a couple of cute pictures of her from her first bath! You can tell she recovered just fine!

Isn't she cute? That's on spoiled rotten dog I tell ya.

Inauguration Day Cakes

I had a big day planned for Tuesday... was planning to watch the big Inauguration at work with friends. Then was suppose to have stamp club that night. I was very excited about celebrating the Inauguration! So, on Monday, MLK day (no work) I made two 1/2 sheet cakes, decorated like flags to take to both occasions.

Both events were cancelled because we had SNOW in NC! I didn't believe it was going to happen-- which is why I still made the cakes, despite weather warnings. They cry wolf A LOT around here. But it did. We had 3-5 inches. So, I missed work (and the Inag party) and stamp club was cancelled. I wanted to share my cakes with you because somebody needs to see them. The one on the left is a white cake with strawberries and blueberries. The one on the right is a marble cake with raspberries and blueberries. Needless to say I dug into the raspberry one. It was delicious. I'll be 10 pounds heavier when you next see me!

A Happy Pouch

We made these cute little pouches at stamp club last month. Too cute huh? We ran an overhead sheet through the Big Shot with the pouch box die. It makes the cutest little pouch box, with all of the score lines. The tag is stamped and punched out with the Curly Label set. The Feb 14th stamp is from A Happy Heart set. The tag is backed with the Always DSP. The ribbon is the pink taffeta ribbon.

These would make perfect favors for a party, shower or anytime you just need a cute little thank you.

Set: A Happy Heart, Curly Label
Ink: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip marker
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Always DSP, Pink Taffeta ribbon, Pouch Box Die, BigShot, Sticky Strip, 1/8" punch

A Happy Heart Heart

Sorry I've been so absent lately. The holidays and getting sick and then back to work... plus I've never gotten my energy back yet. But it's getting better.

So, I have a cute Valentine's day card for you today. This card is a version of one my friend Sherri did a while ago over on her blog.

This is a 4 1/4 square card in black. The card is covered with the red piece from the Ski Slope DSP. Nice versatile way to use that paper STILL. Then I white embossed the gorgeous heart from the set A Happy Heart (from the mini-- only available for another week!) I cut out the heart, stuck a clear rhinestone brad in the middle and mounted it with dimensionals. Then I used markers to color the Feb 14th stamp and stamped that on Whisper white and punched out with the 1" punch. Layer on black 1 1/4" circle and then a red 1 3/8" circle and adhere with a dimensional. Lastly, I just added a little bit of black gingham for texture and viola... that's it. Hope you like!

Set: A Happy Heart
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red
Accessories: Ski Slope DSP, Black gingham ribbon, 1", 1 1/4" 1 3/8" circle punches, Dimensionals
